Neha Bhasin, born on November 18, 1982, in New Delhi, India, is a renowned Indian singer and composer. Coming from a musically inclined family, she was exposed to diverse genres of music from a young age, with her father having an extensive library of music from around the world and her mother being a trained classical vocalist. Neha’s passion for music led her to pursue various forms of artistic expression, and she joined Shiamak Davar’s dance academy to learn different dance styles and took vocal classical training from Ustad Ghulam Mustafa Khan.
At the age of 9, Neha won her first singing competition award, impressively performing Mariah Carey’s song “Hero.” As she grew older, her aspiration to become a popstar continued to drive her. Her musical journey reached a turning point when, at the age of 18, she became an overnight sensation by being selected for Coke V popstars, a nationwide talent search conducted by Channel V. This success led her to become a part of the 5-girl pop group called Viva.
